Gecko Charts...now known as Track'nTrade
Lan Turner has simply outdone
himself with his latest version of this extremely popular charting software.
It's probably the very best learning tool for new traders that I have
ever seen. If ONLY the average course vendor could put together
something like this...we should be so lucky, lol!
Track'nTrade provides a
definition of each indicator that is included with the software, so not only
can you put all the indicators you want onto your charts, but they teach you
how to use 'em while you're about it.
Some of the nifty things you
can plot on the charts:

Although the screenshot I've
used is of candles in the S&P Mini-me (of course), the default is bar charts
and you can customize to the hilt the way these charts look and feel. You
can even keep track of your trading account with this software.
There's a neat little thing
you can do while paper trading: set the chart right back to the beginning of
the contract, then have it run forward automatically a single bar at a time
(instead of using a piece of paper covering the right side of the chart).
This way you can't cheat, you get to see the formations setting up,
and you can paper trade them as if you had gone back in time. Then advance
the chart another bar and see how you would have done. Excellent paper
training for a novice.
The charts are updated each
evening at about 6.30 Eastern. |
